Today, the College of Cardinals chose a new shepherd to lead the Catholic Church. The previous Pope Leo wrote the St. Michael Prayer. If for that reason alone, I am a big fan of his name choice. The first American Pope. I did NOT see that coming. May God Bless Pope Leo XIV, and the whole Catholic Church.
St Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
